The New Yorker ran an absolutely brilliant piece on Matthew Barney last year (I believe), focusing on Cremaster 3 and the new (at the time) Cremaster exhibit at the Guggenheim.

I had this article for a while, but ultimately wound up mailing it to a friend. Of course I didn't make a copy for myself.

Does anyone know if this story exists online anywhere?

  • Have you chesked the Guggenheim website?
    Maybe they archive those articles.
I was lucky enough to see that exibit. I am new to The cremaster and LOVED it.
It totally inspired me. I have not been turned on to contemporary art ever. The only art from the late 20th century that I have liked has been lowborw.
    This is truly cool!!
