Re: what next?
Mon, February 9, 2004 - 10:43 PMWouldn't you want to stay-at-home parent kids with Bijork?
There was a cool article with him in a recent issue of Blueprint that I have at home, tho have yet to read.
Oh what I would give to rear children with Bijork... though will soon read the article, as I too am curious as to Barney's next undertakings. -

Matthew Barney and Arto Lindsay in the Carnival of the Bahia
Matthew Barney comes back to surprise. Of this time it participated in the cortejos of electric trios in the Carnival of the Bahia. Car created, that consisted of tree pulled out to be pulled for tractor, with artist, that Julian Butterfly Hill represented the American ecologist, who liveed 2 years in top of a tree, as share of prostesto against abates it of trees. In this car, covered of mud, Arto Lindsay spread electrónica music. An unexpected intervention. But still it has more... for moreover, a actor, relatively occult, in a compartment of the car, was naked and to masturbar itself. Very interesting the ideia. It has rumors of that the installation will be present in Biennial of S. Paulo. It is everything here and here . Barney is related as the husband of Björk, that also was to attend. -

Sun, August 8, 2004 - 6:40 AMWOW!!
I never heard about this performance piece -- Thanks for the link....
ALSO -->
I haven't heard ANYTHING of Arto Lindsay since the Golden Palamino's -- and THAT was a long time ago. He IS on one of the greatest albums of all time -- "No New York" -- which STILL has not had a reissue.

Re: what next?
Thu, August 12, 2004 - 12:54 PMActually, #3 is the only one that is available for sale. My boyfriend and I own it - picked it up at Scarecrow Video here in Seattle (www.scarecrow.com for those of you who are not local) and we were told that the others are not available for sale because - well technically they are, but they cost thousands of dollars (not sure why).
For those of you who aren't familiar with Scarecrow, I encourage you to check them out - they carry movies from all over the world and rare & out of print stuff - VIDEO STORE HEAVEN. -

Re: what next?
Fri, August 13, 2004 - 11:17 AMI heard that the entire cycle was for sale for 1K. Is that true??
I'm also looking for "Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagn, Supermasochist" by Kirby Dick and got one from Australia that was a bootleg that wouldn't play and I got ripped off.
I think I'll take a look at your source.
BTW: How much was #3?

Re: what next?
Fri, August 13, 2004 - 4:52 PMWhat's next is that he secretly hires a bunch of brainy people to write books and articles explaining what the films mean so that he can publicly disagree with them over a period of several years, causing more people to pay to see the films and to read books about what they're supposed to be about.
