Not as varied as some of the Cremaster series as there was just one central theme but it was rich in detail and flinching tension. Maybe 10 lines of dialogue in all. Interesting use of traditional Japanese rituals and visuals, and slightly political too. Definitely a spectacle worth seeing if you're a Matthew Barney fan. Even if you're not, you will be fascinated. I can't wait to see him speak. I scored a ticket to his talk at the SFMOMA . . .
