i was put onto it by a friend, just in time for the london showing of it; saw all five in a day. my head did hurt by the end of that marathon session (there were breaks!) but i think it must be the only way to see them really, to become immersed in the myths and narrative and iconology.

i'm considering buying the book too, but it doesnt come near the films obviously

I saw it in like three days in Seattle. Two per day except for number 3.

        kind of a funny story

I live in utah and have some friends that work for sundance. Two years ago I heard that a film (Cremaster 3) made by bjork's husband would be playing during the festival. The cast and crew would be there (including Matthew Barney, who i had never heard of) and would have a question answer forum afterwards. It was rumored that bjork would be there, and to be honest i just wanted to catch a peek at her in the flesh....boy was i in for a suprise. Myself and four friends filed in to the theatre to await the screening. When I realized the film wouldnt start for another 10 minutes, i asked my friend if he wanted to hot box my car. When we came back inside, the cast were all lined up near the entrance and as we passed by i overheard one of them say, "those guys reek of weed". Now extremely baked back in our seats, the curtains opened........words cannot describe....this was the most profound experience i've ever had watching a film...period...my mind is still blown.....
